Founded in 1981 by Ian Jenner and Jos Jenner, JENNERS has been delivering high-quality freight forwarding and customs brokerage services for nearly 45 years. As exclusive agents of JAS, our global partner network enables us to handle freight from all parts of the world, regardless of size or nature.
Throughout our history, we have adapted through significant industry changes—from manual customs entries to today’s EDI software and digital systems. We have been influential in these transformations, working closely with Software companies, Customs, MPI, and various industry bodies.

45+ years of innovation and excellence
April 1981
Founded in 1981 by Ian and Jos Jenner – Jenners Customs and Freight Ltd opens doors opposite the Mangere Town centre in Wansted Way.
1990
Moved to a new purpose-built premise at 27 Rennie Dr, Airport Oaks
1999
Moved to a new purpose-built premise 47 Richard Pearse Drive, Airport Oaks
2006
Celebrated 25 years of history
2008
- Extension to building, adding lots of racking required for pick pack and logistics services. Added a full warehousing package to support on line web tracking
- Jenner Cargo International Ltd formed to highlight and focus on our special skills in the vehicle and project industries
2017
Celebrated our 20 years of partnership with Jas Worldwide
2023
CBAFF endorses Katrina Jenner for her contributions to the NZ Customs Brokerage and Freight Forwarding Community
2026
Relaunch of the Jenners brand: an updated look and feel that highlights our vision to the future capitalizing on our outstanding trajectory
1986
The first purpose-built premises open in 36 Rennie Dr Airport Oaks (first company to move into Rennie Dr, an area surrounded by farms and cows used to walk down the road for milking)
1997
NZ Customs Department introduce CusMod computer system and other modernised practices. We could then electronically send customs entries via EDI which greatly improved clearance times.
2000
Merged with Jas, a large global forwarder network to form Jas Jenners Worldwide Ltd
2007
Name changed to Jenners Worldwide Freight Ltd after established exclusive agency with Jas.
2014
Jenners operating system changed over to Cargowise
2018
Katrina Jenner was appointed the General Manager of Jenners Worldwide Freight Ltd.
2025
CBAFF introduces the Ian Jenner Award
